EMH Hoists |
| The selection of the proper hoist may be
the single most important factor in designing an overhead crane. It is
the hoist after all, that does the primary work of lifting the load. The
hoist is usually the most vital component of an overhead crane.
EMH wire rope hoists fall into these primary categories:

| EMH Engineered Wire Rope Hoists
 When a
standard packaged wire rope hoist cannot provide sufficient capacity,
lift or a high enough service rating, the EMH Engineered Hoist is the
choice. Custom fabricated at our Valley City plant. Capacities to 300
tons, CMAA Class “D” and “E” rated.

| EMH Standard Wire Rope Hoists
 For standard
industrial cranes with capacities from 2 to 50 tons, the EMH Wire Rope
Hoist is the logical choice. Single and double trolley models in a vast
variety of configurations for optimal performance and price.

A saddle mounted trolley provides extra lift for single girder
cranes. Capacities up to 15 tons. 
EMH standard single girder hoists are available in the "SU"
configuration. Swivel trolleys allow the hoist to run on curved
girders with radii as small as four feet. Capacities to 15 tons.
EMH engineered hoists can also be designed with swivel trolleys for
demanding curved track applications. The 18 ton hoist shown at right
provides 100 feet of lift. Capacities to 30 tons; nearly unlimited
lift possible.
